Impaired vision is the most common disability in the world, yet its impact on society is largely unrecognised. A 2013 study found that 4% of the New Zealand population suffer from a vision impairment. Seeing well improves everything – from being able to read and doing well in school to employability and personal well-being.
The Essilor Vision Foundation (EVF) is committed to eliminating poor vision and its lifelong consequences, and to providing underprivileged people the opportunity to live a better life through better sight.
